Job Description:
Supportive Living Caregiver $17-$18/HRIf you are a fulltime
student and looking for a meaningful part time job look no
further.Star Developmental Services is looking for charismatic
people who are interested in mentoring individuals with
developmental disabilities to navigate independence in their own
homes. You will be a mentor who provides caregiving and
companionship skills-assisting with daily life activities, while
partaking in community-based outings that provide socialized
interaction.This is an ideal position for someone who enjoys
engaging with others while not being constricted to a traditional
work setting. This position requires providing hands-on care,
direct training, program planning and documentation to adults with
developmental disabilities to help promote
independence.Monday-Friday3:00 pm -11:00 pmQualifications: ---
Minimum qualification is a high school diploma or GED--- Clear
background check, including fingerprint scan--- Minimum of 18 years
of age--- No DUIs or felonies--- Current First Aid and CPR
certification - Willingness to assist people with personal care
needs and public transportation trainingJob DescriptionDirect
Support Staff assist with daily living skills, social activities;
encourage friends and circles of support. Increase self-advocacy;
assist with shopping, meal preparation, clean-up and laundry.
Support Staff must demonstrate a high degree of understanding and
commitment to the principles of supported living. They must
understand and accept that supports will be molded to fit the
